I have nothing but praise for the service received. The company supplied a sample piece of perspex at nominal cost which enabled me to confidently order a made to measure piece as a replacement for a glass shower door. The website was very easy to navigate making it easy to order exactly what I wanted. I was told to expect about a week for delivery but it in fact was delivered within 4 days in a very well packaged parcel. The perspex was in perfect condition and cut accurately to size. I cannot fault the service in any way from ordering through to delivery.

When choosing your EGGER board, it is important to check how each texture varies on our range of boards. You may find that some of our boards have different finishes, and care must be taken when ordering to assure that they are all matching finishes for a complete look. On each product you will see a code as part of its product name with an ST prefix, please see below for how the code correlates to its appropriate texture.
EGGER ST9
Used with solid colours, and woodgrains offering a soft and natural feel ST9 is a texture that supports matte surfaces, allowing the individual colour and texture to be the highlight of the sheet. The softness of the sheet does add a degree of faux authenticity, though its tactility may not always match the melamine applied.
EGGER ST10
Offering a highly authentic texture, ST10 provides a realistic feel for solid wood and material reproductions further developing the illusion of it being a different material while reliant on the inexpensive nature of the MFC sheet.
Common uses for Egger Boards
Egger melamine-faced chipboard has a vast range of applications thanks to its lightweight yet rigid construction and attractive, protective melamine surface. The wood chip core provides stability while the scratch, moisture and impact-resistant melamine faces create a ready-to-use surface ideal for both exposed and hidden applications.
Cabinetry - For both exposed cabinet boxes and hidden cabinet internals, Egger MFC's smooth, consistent surfaces and range of colour options are ideal for kitchens, bathrooms, laundries, wardrobes and entertainment units. Its moisture resistance prevents warping.
Shelving & Storage - The diversity of colours and patterns makes Egger MFC popular for visible storage and shelving units. Its harder melamine surface prevents dents and surface damage from daily wear and tear.
Furniture - Egger MFC is widely used in commercial and residential furniture including desks, tables, beds, displays and more. It machines cleanly for a flawless finish.
Partitions & Wall Panels - MFC is the product of choice for partitioning walls, display stands and noticeboards. It can be cut to size and directly mounted without edging.
Doors - The consistent quality and perfectly straight edges of Egger boards enable intricate door designs to be crafted with excellent fit.

Cost effective - Egger MFC is an affordable material option compared to solid woods and composites.
Cons
Not as strong or rigid as plywood - The chipboard core cannot match the strength of good quality plywood pound for pound. Needs more support in some applications.
Prone to damage if edges exposed - The melamine edges can chip or swell if left exposed and unprotected. Edges need to be banded.
Heat sensitivity - Prolonged high heat exposure can cause bubbles or delamination issues over time. Not ideal near stoves/ovens.
Melamine scratches show - Although very scratch resistant, any damage through the melamine will show white subsurface below.
Limited screw hold - Screws fixed into the edge of the boards have a tendency to pull out as the core crumbles.
Not easily repaired - Surface damage is difficult to patch and touch up discreetly unlike solid wood or paint grade boards.
Prone to fire/charring - The melamine and wood core will burn and char if exposed to flames. Fire rated grade is available.

What is Egger board made of?
Egger MFC consists of a core of wood chips bonded together with resin, sandwiched between two layers of melamine resin that create a smooth, decorative surface.
What thickness options are available?
All the Egger boards we offer cut-to-size are 18mm thick.
What sizes are Egger boards supplied in?
We cut Egger boards to any shape and size, with sheet sizes available up to 2800mm by 2070mm.
Can Egger MFC get wet?
The melamine surface resists moisture better than raw wood but it is not waterproof. Edges and screw holes are most vulnerable to swelling damage.
How should Egger boards be cleaned?
Wipe using a damp cloth with mild detergent. Avoid abrasive cleaners. Melamine surfaces are very scratch-resistant.
How can I cut and machine Egger MFC?
Use standard power saws and traditional woodworking tools. Carbide-tipped blades give the best results.
If you want beautifully finished pieces of MFC for a specific job, this stuff is hard to beat. I've completed a number of jobs using CutMy and they are superb. They are not cheap, but they are beautifully finished. I've had a couple of minor delivery or manufacturing chips, hence the 4 stars for value, because I've been able to lose the issue as a a back-end piece where I needed to, so have not had to go back for a new piece.
I've used MFC which I've edged myself, and I can't match the finish these guys achieve, which is why I use them for every important task.

so pleased with how our hallway is coming along 🥰 here is a little run down of what we’ve done
🎨 we painted the walls, skirting & door frames in slipper satin (paint matched at b&q) - I think I also want to do the ceilings as they need a refresh anyway
🪚 we panelled the wall longest wall which I loved doing, the most difficult part was going around the plug sockets - I ordered from cutmy.uk which was made to measure & absolutely brilliant
🎨 the panelling is painted in elephant’s breath (also paint matched at b&q)
🪞& then we added the mirrors
💡changed the light fitting
🖤 painted the little cabinet in pitch black - a bit risky but so pleased with how it came out
🪑added a bench and cushions
🌿 we bought a new (big) plant baby, bird of paradise & a large pot for the corner
🧥and some gorgey coat hooks for under the stairs made by ardovie_wood who we found on etsyuk
We’re going to look for some baskets to go under the bench for shoes, and I want to get a new lamp too! And the current plan is the change the carpet to hard flooring next year.

LIFE LATELY 🌲✨
I realised I legit NEVER post stills anymore, and shiney reels don't always show reality. So next year I vouch to make a bigger effort to post more pictures that capture the good bad & ugly!
1. The finished stairs garland after 599 attempts at tying a bow we got there - if you saw my stories you'll know this is an achievement 🤣
2. A moment of still/ gratitude with my babies
3. 4 month milestone!! Feels like 4 minutes and 4 years all in one.
4. A small win to be celebrated - I was in overwhelm city and I forced myself out the house. Obvs felt a million times better for it so need to remember for next time!
5. My breakfast bar of dreams 🥰 so happy with how's it's turned out - just need to make my mind up on paint.
