Every maple-veneered MDF piece is a testament to woods' natural artistry, showcasing its distinctive variations. With a diverse palette of shades, colours, and textures, complemented by natural knots, each piece exudes its unique charm. Embracing the inherent warmth of maple wood, it adds a touch of timeless elegance and sophistication to any space.

Maple veneered furniture boards are cherished for their creamy colour, smooth grain, and durability that pairs perfectly with our 18mm MDF cores. Our maple-veneered MDF offers the recognizable grain and customisation potential of real maple wood.

The maple veneer takes to paint and stains beautifully, and the MDF is easy to cut and drill for versatility. We can offer drilled holes, cutouts and lacquering for a richer finish and for extra protection.

Ideal for crafting stunning wood effect kitchen doors, floating shelves, desk table tops, and more. You can achieve the elegance of a solid maple furniture board without the expense. The durable MDF core provides lightweight strength and stability for diverse applications from furniture to architectural panels.

All of our veneered MDF sheets are environmentally sourced and FSC-certified. We can cut your maple veneer MDF to your project's specifications. Whether you need ready-to-install maple panels or fully customized components, this material gives you real wood visuals at a fraction of the cost. The durable maple veneers combined with the MDF core provide premium aesthetics for your next project.

If you are using maple veneered MDF as a furniture board, then we suggest that you opt for edge banding to conceal the MDF core for a seamless solid wood appearance.

Lacquering Protection

Our matt lacquering service for maple veneered MDF is a convenient way to save time and achieve a professional finish. This service provides a smooth, durable coating that protects the surface from scratches, stains, and moisture, preserving the light, natural beauty of the maple veneer. By opting for pre-lacquered boards, customers eliminate the need for additional finishing work, making the material ready to use for furniture, cabinetry, or other interior projects. The result is a consistent, high-quality finish that enhances durability and reduces maintenance.

Finished Edges

Edge banding is an important addition when purchasing maple veneered MDF, providing both protection and a professional finish. It seals the exposed edges, preventing damage from moisture, impacts, and wear, which helps maintain the board’s durability and appearance over time. The edge banding matches the maple veneer, creating a seamless look that enhances the overall quality of your project.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is maple-veneered MDF?

Maple-veneered MDF pairs thin real maple wood veneers with rigid medium-density fiberboard cores. The veneers provide consistent maple grain patterns while the MDF resists warping.

What are the pros of maple veneered furnishings?

Maple veneered furniture gives an economical alternative to solid maple that still offers durability and beautiful wood aesthetics. The veneers showcase maple grains at a fraction of solid wood's cost.

How should you prep maple veneer prior to painting?

Carefully inspect for defects, make repairs, lightly sand, and properly prime maple veneered MDF before painting. This gives the paint an optimal surface for adhesion.

How does maple-veneered furniture compare to solid maple?

While solid maple can last for decades, maple-veneered furniture provides excellent durability at a more budget-friendly price point.

Are the maple veneers real wood?

Absolutely. Our maple veneers are slices of genuine maple wood adhered to the core, providing an authentic maple look and feel.

Can the maple veneer be removed from finished products?

Removing the veneer often damages the core, so we don't advise trying to take veneers off completed pieces. Choose veneered MDF if you want a ready-made look.

How should you care for and protect maple veneer?

Use coasters, placemats, and table pads to avoid scratches and moisture damage. Regularly clean with soft cloths and repair finish scratches. Apply protective topcoats.

Great value and loved being able to get it cut to the exact size I needed and delivered to my door but one of the sheets had slight damage on its corner. This wasn’t a problem for my project, hence why I kept them, but for someone else it could be an issue. Make sure you check the order upon receipt of delivery and you’ll be fine.
