FINSA Melamine MDF Details
FINSA melamine faced MDF board offers a stylish and modern finish to replicate the look and tactility of traditional wood.
The FINSA melamine range boasts exceptional options in customisation and decorative possibilities. From traditional wood to solid colours, the FINSA melamine wood sheets range allows creative solutions at an affordable price.
FINSA has gained an international reputation as an environmentally conscious brand committed to sustainability in the forestry industry. With certifications proving their conscious efforts, our FINSA range offers a premium ethically aware option that never compromises on quality.
The FINSA 12Twenty Melamine range is a collection of 30 decors designed with makers and creators in mind. Formed by covering an MDF core with a decorative resin-impregnated paper, the FINSA antibacterial melamine board is suitable for use in high-quality furniture and interior design projects.
The core of the material is composed of wood fibres, giving a flat, smooth and excellent surface finish surface. Excellent for processing and perfect to cut and machine, the high density, stabile board provides a greater load capacity, with high resistance to both surface impacts and impacts on mitre joints.
The FINSA melamine boards are constructed with a standard MDF core with the highest quality 0.5mm melamine applied to both faces. The result of this is a sheet that’s both professional, sleek, clean, and contemporary.
When selecting your FINSA melamine sheet, we are able to add edge banding to the melamine sheet matching the melamine veneer. This adds further sophistication and completes the sheet, ideal for those looking for a finishing material.
Additionally, the light and smooth surface of the melamine sheet makes it easy to mark up for cutting or sanding down, and it can be cut to various shapes and forms with ease using an electric saw, router, or handsaw. Please note that when cutting MDF, appropriate protection must be worn due to the dust particles MDF can create.
While melamine is made from acrylic, the MDF core is ranked with the Euroclass D Fire Rating, therefore if you require MDF to prevent the spread of fire, please see our Flame Retardant MDF which can prevent the spread of fire by up to half an hour.
FINSA melamine sheets are machinable and can be installed without fuss, leaving projects with a smart and professional finish. FINSA melamine sheets are most notably used in the construction of desks or furniture that would involve consistent use. The melamine veneer is waterproof and can prolong the life of standard MDF sheets that would ruin when wet. View our full range of cut-to-size furniture boards here.
