What’s the difference between regular acrylic and premium scratch-resistant splashbacks?
Our matt and gloss acrylic splashbacks are quality coloured acrylic sheets provided by Perspex®. This acrylic is a solid colour right the way through, there is a limited colour selection. Our premium scratch-resistant splashback is made from a hard-coated polycarbonate which is spray painted on one side to make it look just like glass.
We recommend ordering a sample to check the colour in the final location as screens can display colours differently. If you can’t find the correct colour or are trying to match a specific paint, RAL or Pantone colour get in touch and we can create a custom sample for you.
Are scratch resistant splashbacks heat resistant?
Our scratch-resistant splashback panels melt at high temperatures or from exposure to direct flames. Please see the above table to see if you can use this type of splashback behind your hob. Alternatively, you can take a look at our glass kitchen splashbacks which can be placed behind any hob.
How do you clean a hard-coated scratch resistant splashback?
Keeping your scratch-resistant splashback panels clean and hygienic is eas, as all that is required is warm soapy water and a microfibre cloth. Only use household detergents, no high-alkaline cleaners. See above for full cleaning instructions.
Can you cut a custom hole for plug sockets?
We are able to accommodate any requirements you may need. You can customise your splashback when ordering. For plug sockets, select the Sockets option and configure where your plug socket is. For more assistance please contact us using our email form.
