Replacing your shed windows with clear Perspex® sheeting is often more cost-effective than other window replacement options, such as glass. This is because it's a relatively inexpensive material, and the durability and low maintenance requirements mean that you won't have to replace the windows as often.
This superior strong material can be purchased in varying thicknesses to provide further levels of insulation for your shed. No matter the size of your shed windows, we can provide you with clear materials that fit your measurements at an inexpensive price. Installing new shed windows is usually a straightforward process, and can often be completed by a DIY enthusiast with the right tools and a little bit of experience. Our shed window alternative to glass is lightweight in comparison to traditional glass, meaning that they are easier to handle, lift and install.
They are extremely durable and resistant to impact, weathering and UV radiation. Up to 10 times stronger than glass they don’t show any sign of ageing with continual use, and although slightly more expensive - our polycarbonate option is half the weight of glass and up to 250 times stronger. This makes both glass replacement alternatives for shed windows ideal for use in outdoor houses where windows are exposed to the elements and may be subject to accidental damage.
Further to this, both materials offer excellent light transmission properties at over 90% - higher than most types of glass. This can be especially useful if you use your shed as a workspace, as natural light can help to make the interior of the shed more inviting and comfortable. This can also improve energy efficiency in your shed by reducing heat loss which is why our clear sheets are commonly used for secondary glazing and greenhouse glass.
If theft is a concern and you have expensive tools in your shed you may want to choose our privacy shed windows which are frosted on both sides to prevent anyone from seeing into your shed. With 82% light transmission you’ll benefit from both privacy and light flooding into your shed.

Durable
Both Acrylic and Polycarbonate have a higher impact tolerance to glass which make our shed window replacements make a stronger, long-lasting alternative. Acrylic is at least 10x stronger than glass, but Polycarbonate is much more shatter-resistant since it is 200 times stronger than glass.

Weather resistant
Our replacement shed windows are UV and weather-resistant, as well as resistant to prolonged exposure to sunlight. They are also resistant to most chemicals and have a low moisture absorption rate so perfect for outdoor applications.
Excellent Clarity
Both Clear Acrylic and Polycarbonate options give excellent optical clarity, ranging up to 92% light transmission, higher than most types of glass, making them an advantageous option for use in windows. Although it is not transparent, Frosted Acrylic still lets in plenty of light, with up to 85% light transmission.
Lightweight
Acrylic and Polycarbonate Shed Windows are much lighter than the equivalent thickness of a glass window pane. This makes installation, transportation, and handling an easier option for fitting your shed windows yourself!

Measure carefully and it’s a dream
If you measure the wall accurately at the start, the online calculator takes all of the guesswork out of it! My advice is to make a gap template (the calculator tells you precisely how big the gaps should be)and start one end and plot your way across carefully. It must be simple because I didn’t say my DIY catchphrase (FFS) once!

I had not realised 3 mm would bow quite so much as my green house only has side W clips. So I need to drill the frame top and bottom and fit screws or angles to make sure they don't pop. Not your problem as such but a learning curve for me.
