Our Silver Mirrored Acrylic Sheets come in both 3mm and 5mm thicknesses. They are perfect to use as gym mirrors, or in your home gym as well as as an equestrian stable mirror. They are also commonly used in bathrooms and on door backings to allow spaces to reflect more light into the room. Perspex® Acrylic Sheets are half the weight of glass, but double the strength, so you can rest assured that they will be a safer alternative to a glass mirror. All of Perspex® Mirrored Acrylic comes with the industry's toughest and most durable backing to protect your mirror.
All of our Mirrored Acrylics are versatile and weather resistant, so they make for a great addition outside of the home too as an acrylic garden mirror. They are UV resistant, so you don’t have to worry about them discolouring from sun rays or harsh weather conditions. They are also easy to clean and maintain with some warm soapy water and a microfibre cloth.

When buying and installing our mirrored acrylic sheets, we recommend the following steps to achieve the best results:
1. Thickness and Sizing Recommendations: For larger mirrors (such as over 1000mm in width or length), there is a higher chance of a distorted image being reflected. We recommend opting for the 5mm thickness silver mirror to minimise image distortion as a thicker acrylic reduces the flexibility.
2. Backing Material: Ensure that the surface you are applying the mirrored acrylic to is flat and even. For optimal results, especially with larger mirrors, it is crucial to back the acrylic mirror onto a hard board, such as 18mm MDF backing (which we can cut to size too!). This provides stability and helps reduce image distortion.
3. Check Your Mirrored Acrylic Sheet: All our mirrored acrylic sheets come with a protective film on the front side. Remove this film before installation to inspect the product for any damages. Note that we cannot offer refunds or replacements for installed products, so please check thoroughly before proceeding to install.
4. Adhesive: We recommend using our all-in-one non-solvent adhesive for installation. Make sure to apply the adhesive evenly to the surface using a roller for a secure fit. While this method is the most common and provides a smooth, professional finish, you can also use an appropriate drill bit for mechanical fixing if preferred.
5. Professional Installation: If you're uncertain about the installation process, we strongly recommend hiring a trained professional to ensure a high-quality reflection and secure installation.
Please Note: Some degree of distortion may still occur due to the flexible nature of acrylic mirrors. This is not a manufacturing defect but an inherent characteristic of the material. Please keep in mind that your purchase includes the mirrored acrylic only, without a frame or mount.

Perspex® Acrylic is 100% recyclable. Waste products can readily be recovered from the original raw material (the monomer) and re-used in a new sheet.
Perspex® has been manufactured in the UK for over 85 years and still takes place on the same site in Lancashire as it did in the 1930s. This short supply distance to our UK customers helps reduce ‘product miles’ from the manufacturing plant to the end user.
Numerous different investments have already been made by Perspex® to lessen the impact on the environment. Annual waste consumption has been reduced by 24 million litres, and almost 800 tonnes of carbon dioxide have been saved every year as part of a hot water recycling project. At Cut My, we work to be more sustainable by using all of our offcuts to heat our manufacturing facility. We are also currently working towards reducing our packaging.

To install our Silver Mirrored acrylic, you only require either an appropriate drill bit or adhesive glue. While we do strongly advise that you use a professional to install your mirrors, we have also provided a DIY guide for how to back your mirror. We recommend that any Silver Mirrored acrylic sheets ordered above the size of 1m2 should be ordered to a minimum thickness of 5mm and will require a suitable backing, in order to provide a high-quality finish.

You can easily remove light scratches from mirrors with a microfibre cloth and some high-quality polish. Following the instructions on the polish, the scratches will be removed using small circular motions.
Though perceived to be more expensive than glass, acrylic mirrors are often priced similarly in relative to dimensions, and in some cases can be a cheaper option.
Perspex® is a brand of acrylic plastic. They are the same.
You can request samples of any of our products: When on the store page for the material you are interested in, first select the thickness you want, then scroll down and find the "Request Sample" button. This will add one sample unit to the shopping cart. Make sure to check your shopping cart before checking out.
Acrylic samples come as 10cm squares and are intended to let you see the colour or finish in real life. For coloured acrylic, sometimes we won't have sample stock of the exact thickness you ask for, but you'll still get the right colours. Clear and tinted samples will always be the correct thickness as the thickness can be important for the properties of the product.
Perspex® sheets will melt at high temperatures or from exposure to direct flames. The melting point for Extruded Perspex® is 80̊C so they cannot withstand extreme temperatures.
While it is possible to cut Acrylic Sheets yourself, we do suggest that you request it cut to size before ordering as we can expertly and safely meet your requirements. We use a variety of tools here at Cut My, including saws, routers and lasers and our staff have plenty of safety equipment and knowledge of the correct techniques for cutting acrylic sheets. If you must cut acrylic sheets yourself, you will need a skill saw with an acrylic blade or a router to prevent chipping.
Silver Mirrored Perspex® can be attached to other materials using a variety of methods, including screws and adhesives. The specific method used would depend on the intended application and the materials being joined.
Silver Mirrored Acrylic is recyclable, however, as it’s not bio-degradable the process is not as easy as putting it in your recycle bin or taking it to a bottle bank. Some recycling centres will take plastic acrylic sheets. You can also re-use Perspex® by cutting larger sheets into small pieces and forming them into other products.
