Stanley Mitre Box and Tenon Saw Details

Easy to use Mitre Box with 90°, 45° and 22.5° slots.

  • Comes with Tenon Saw.
  • Length: 350mm
  • Patented storage system for the saw

Our Stanley Saw Storage Mitre Box with Tenon Saw is an easy-to-use tool for cutting materials at an angle. The box has pre-cut slots in it which the saw slots into so that you can saw at a 90° angle, 45° angle and a 22.5° angle. It also has a storage system for the saw.

This Mitre Saw is lightweight, so easily transportable. It comes with a 305mm tenon saw which can be stored in the box when not in use. There are some holes in the base for gathering to a workbench as well as a pencil holder!

We supply these with our Shaker Wall Panelling Kit with Beading so that you can precisely cut your Beading at a 45° angle in order for two pieces to join seamlessly.

Frequently Asked Questions

What types of cuts can be made with a mitre box and saw?

Mitre boxes and saws are typically used to make angled cuts, such as 45-degree or 90-degree cuts, on materials such as wood, plastic, or metal.

How can I use a Mitre Saw safely?

You can attach the mitre box to your workbench if you would like, using the holes on the bottom and some screws. This will hold the box in place. If not you can use the front lip of the box to butt up against the workbench to prevent you from slipping whilst sawing. We suggest that you wear gloves as well as eye protection and that you make sure that the surface you are working on is level.

Why don’t you pre-mitre and cut the beading?

It's easier for you if we don't pre-mitre and cut the beading before installation. You would need to install every panel to the millimetre for the pre-cut mitred edges of the beading to join seamlessly butted against the MDF strips. Cutting after installation of the MDF strips allows room for error in the first part of the installation and allows you to achieve a seamless finish. We provide the mire block and tenor saw along with full instructions so that you have everything you need to cut it to size during installation.

How do I maintain my mitre saw?

To ensure your mitre saw continues to perform at its best, it's important to keep the blade clean and sharp and check for any signs of wear or damage regularly.
