Was looking for a particular size of 7” vinyl record divider with space to add letters / notes. Found a few things but some were poor materials or slightly too big or expensive needing multiple packs. Decided to use cut my as I’ve used them before for a wooden shelf. Went for simple clear plastic, a few mm in thickness, exact size I needed with room to hand write plus I could order the 27 I needed. Great price, quick order and well packaged. - 1.5mm sheets: Slightly heavier gauge used for home appliances, computer chassis, roofing, equipment panels, car fabrication, racks, and enclosures.
- 2mm sheets: Versatile thickness used for partitions, machine guards, furniture, appliance housings, base plates, brackets, vehicle parts, fence inserts and railings.
- 3mm sheets - Used for sturdier applications like shelving, cabinets, embossing, vehicle interiors, machine bases, and computer stands. Can be welded and machined. Provides good strength at a moderate weight.
- 4mm sheets - Used for heavy-duty shelving, cladding, equipment stands, base plates, brackets, lockers and roll beam trollies. Good for structural applications while still being reasonably easy to cut and drill.
- 5mm sheets - Provides high strength and rigidity for truck bodies and flooring, agricultural equipment, sign backing, trailers, replacement panels machine bases, structural parts etc. Still possible to cut, bend and weld this thicker gauge material.
- 6mm sheets - Very rugged sheets used for truck and trailer frames, industrial components, large shelving, machine bases, manhole covers and supports.
- 8mm sheets - Extremely strong and rigid sheets with structural supports, reinforcement plates, base plates and enclosures. Ideal for use with heavy equipment.
- 10mm sheets - Used for applications such as large shelving for storage containers, structural supports for larger construction projects, and safety barriers where high strength and impact resistance are critical.
